Curated Weekly

I arrived back home from New York on Wednesday and am getting back into the routine of everyday life. There is a most cozy feeling of that first night back at home where you cook up a favorite meal, cozy into your pajamas, and savor those first few moments of laying down in your own bed. Travel is a very enriching part of life to experience, but it also reminds us that home truly is where the heart is.

As we find ourselves in the middle of October, autumn is gently settling in more and more here in Raleigh and this week will be the first week that we experience 40-degree morning weather too. I have officially transitioned my closet for the colder seasons as well as pulled out my coats and scarves and as the cold weather starts to push in more I find myself enjoying the slight nip in the air.

I hope that you too are enjoying this season as much as you are able and that you are ready to also enjoy another Curated Weekly post to start the weekend.

I always love to share what I personally purchase here on the Curated Weekly post and while I was in New York this past week I stopped into a Banana Republic store and instantly loved this green Lightweight Cashmere V-Neck Sweater. The color was great and the cashmere was thick and soft. It’s a perfect piece to add to the fall/winter wardrobe.

Another top that I got recently for the season is this Short Puff Sleeve Cardigan from Madewell. Not only did I love this deep rust color, but the texture of the cardigan was soft and cozy and will be easy to wear for work or leisure.

Another great find from Farmhouse Pottery is this Reusable Bread Bag – Stripe – Set of 2 which would also be great for either the Farmer’s Market or even for the local grocer bakery.

One item that is always part of my wardrobe is a pair of loafers and these Vegan Suede Loafers from the Gap are in a beautiful classic style that would elevate any outfit and they are only $59.95 a pair.

A book that caught my attention recently was The Artist and the Feast by Lucy Steeds which was published back on May 6th. A book for the fellow Francophiles, The Artist and the Feast is a captivating novel of love, art, food, desire and thwarted ambition, which builds propulsively over one scorching French summer in 1920s Provence.

Food essays books are some of my favorites to read, especially during autumn and Around the Table: 52 Essays on Food and Life by Diana Henry which was released just this past Tuesday looks to be a cozy read to enjoy.
