Back home and getting back into the routine of eve

Back home and getting back into the routine of everyday life. Traveling to a place like Costa Rica where we stayed and relaxed the entire trip at the resort gave me time to think and assess my everyday life and routines back home in Raleigh. I had many epiphanies and ideas that came to me and one of those ideas was to make an annual trip to the resort in January or February every year as a new year reset. But for now I have been making a plan for the different areas I want to improve on and have already started implementing some of those ideas as soon as I got back home. I’ve also started to plan out a blog post about this process and why traveling to a destination with no excursions planned helps with this process✨

One last day in Costa Rica to savor☀️ I plan to enjoy the beautiful views and sunshine, but I’m also still dreaming about the relaxing spa experience from yesterday too. I got a hydrating facial which was perfect after the cold days of winter in Raleigh. Such a luxury moment to enjoy✨

Taking a summer-like vacation during the winter months is such a great way to feel refreshed after months of cold days inside. Everything here is outdoors and open air including all the restaurants and I have been enjoying it (and the beautiful views) immensely✨

Packed up and ready for an early flight tomorrow. There’s something so fun about packing for a trip and I am ready to enjoy some warm sun for a few days in Costa Rica. While I have enjoyed cozying up this winter, having a few summer like days will be a nice change until spring arrives ☀️

Spending this Friday working from home and startin

Spending this Friday working from home and starting to get everything ready for our trip to Costa Rica on Sunday. I had a cold this past week but luckily I am feeling better than I was earlier this week.

Tomorrow will also be a nice spring-like day here in Raleigh so I plan to get out and enjoy it here around my neighborhood with an iced coffee and a trip to the bookstore.

It’s been a cold winter here in Raleigh this year

It’s been a cold winter here in Raleigh this year ❄️ but it’s been nice to visit the coffee house next door and cozy in with a coffee and muffin when I’m wanting to get out of the house for a bit. I appreciate the slower pace of winter and even though I wish it were a touch warmer outside, I know that I can always appreciate where I am by enjoying the simple pleasures of the moment.
