Moments & Musings, December 2025

There is truly something special about December in the way that it feels like a soft quilt being laid gently over the year’s final days. It invites us to slow down and savor the warmth of home and in the cozy moments of holiday magic. It’s a month of glowing twinkle lights, seasonal hot drinks to enjoy, and the quiet early evenings of coziness and delights. As the world outside grows colder, let December offer a gentle reminder to gather close at home around tables, fireplaces, and cozy nooks celebrating the wonder of the holiday season and the elegant calm that only winter can bring.

November arrived in Raleigh bringing with it the peak of the autumn colors as well as some truly cold days to savor at home. It also ushered in the start of the holiday season as the Christmas Trees started to make their appearances here and there as well as the official return of the Starbucks red cup to get us all in the holiday spirit. The Christmas music has started to play and the holiday mugs have started being used for morning coffees. Thanksgiving was savored at home and the Christmas tree was decorated and all aglow. There were simply just so many wonderful things that I savored during November as autumn and Christmas merged creating one of my favorite times of year to enjoy all the simple pleasures of the season.

  • Going to the Rick Steves Europe – A Symphonic Journey show.
  • Decorating the house and the tree for Christmas.
  • The last of the pumpkin spiced foods as we say goodbye to autumn.
  • The many holiday flavored drinks that I will get to enjoy.
  • So many Christmas books to read and savor.
  • Cozying up at home to enjoy holiday baking, puzzles, and movies.

December is sure to be full of many wonderful things to watch and read as the holidays settle in, so here is my top list for December, so far…

  • I will be tuning into the With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration with the lovely Meghan Markle to get all the elegant holiday inspiration for this season.

  • This movie is on the top of my list as it looks to be funny, cozy, heart warming, and even a little romantic.

  • Because there’s always room for a seasonal romance on my TBR, Once Upon a Holidate is on my list this month.

If holiday entertaining is something that you like to do every year, then this beautiful Lenox Holiday 2-Tiered Server would be a most elegant addition. Bring a Christmas classic to the table with this crafted server with ivory porcelain and 24-karat gold accents, as this 1974 favorite makes a timeless seasonal statement with its iconic holly and berry motif in festive reds and greens. It will be the perfect spot to put your sweet treats on display for the holiday season.

December truly feels like the grand finale of the entire year. It’s a month wrapped in frosty mornings and cashmere scarves. The nights grow longer and everything seems to sparkle just a little more. It’s a lovely reminder that even during the coldest moments of the year there’s still so much warmth and coziness to be found. I warmly invite you to share below what you will be enjoying this month as well as any holiday plans that you are looking forward to and I hope you have a most wonderful December filled with many cozy moments and holiday wonder.
